  • Serena (22) attended Coyote Ridge for all of her elementary school. During her senior year in high school, Serena returned to Coyote Ridge to take part in the Child Development ROP with Ms. Williams, who happened to be Serena’s Kindergarten teacher. Within a month into the program, Serena discovered her passion for teaching. Recently, Serena graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. Serena will be completing her teaching credentials in the spring of 2021 and then pursue her Masters of Arts in teaching while teaching full time. “I like that children in elementary school are still excited to learn and that they absorb everything they learn. And I know that for some kids, school is their only safe place and the only place they have a support system so I want to provide that for every student.”

  • Isabel graduated from Sacramento State with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy. Growing up with five other siblings, Isabel was the first one to go and graduate from college.  To pay homage to her parents, Isabel requested to be photographed in Chico where she grew up.  Her Dad owns El Super Grullense Taco truck, the longest-running one in Chico. Isabel started working in the taco truck when she was 11 and she had to set everything up in the mornings before going to school.
