COVID Class of 2020

Serena (22) attended Coyote Ridge for all of her elementary school. During her senior year in high school, Serena returned to Coyote Ridge to take part in the Child Development ROP with Ms. Williams, who happened to be Serena’s Kindergarten teacher. Within a month into the program, Serena discovered her passion for teaching. Recently, Serena graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Arts in Child Development and a minor in Psychology. Serena will be completing her teaching credentials in the spring of 2021 and then pursue her Masters of Arts in teaching while teaching full time. “I like that children in elementary school are still excited to learn and that they absorb everything they learn. And I know that for some kids, school is their only safe place and the only place they have a support system so I want to provide that for every student.”
