Ma'nene in Toraja

The coffin containing the deceased was taken out of the bedroom during Rambu Solo Torajan Traditional Funeral Ceremony. Pigs and water buffaloes were sacrificed during the event. The buffalo receives a quick blow with a long knife to the jugular and the pig is stabbed directly to the heart for a swift death.
