Hajiah (47), the wife of Pak Sugianto, picks coffee cherries. Pak Sugianto has been a member of Permato Gayo since 2009. His earnings have increased since joining. The biggest challenge as a coffee farmer is the stability of price. As a part of the co-op he received help such as farm equipments to cut grass, basic supplies such as rice and cooking oil, and updated farm training. To him Fair Trade means everyone wins, the quality of the coffee is excellent and dependable and it's organically certified.
